HELP OUT, CHOOSE FROM BELOW
We all want Africa to grow. We want its people to live above the poverty line and beyond. We want the suffering to end. We want a better and stable future for our children. This can and it will happen - but only if we start lifting each other up. Below we EXPLAIN THE IMPORTANCE OF SUPPORTING THESE INITIATIVES.

Our wish is to see Africas unite for one worthy ideal. Imagine us gathered in masses to buy from a group of traders or to give books to an orphanage or to do a fun run to raise funds for a particular cause. The more committed members we have, the easier it will be for us to produce this dream.
As a subscriber you get notices to all our events, access to workshops related to the growth of Africa, notices of new aid seekers, and the opportunity to contribute articles and educational content.
A paid monthly membership gives you further access to event discounts, movie discounts, and discounts on your groceries.

The only reason I, the founder of Eight Red Apples, could read and write English early, become an avid book reader, and dream bigger than most people in my community, was because a white lady who used to send me second hand clothing via my grandmother, who was her employee, included old books in clothing plastic bags. As a child with no parents, but my grandmother, I looked forward to these plastic bags, especially the books!
Books can reach a person much more than the spoken word. Reading opens the mind. It opened my mind.

Change your buying habits.
Determine to buy some of your vegetables and other needs from street traders and other small businesses around you. But don't stop there, if you have to import, import from Africa!
The exchange of goods and services between the countries in Africa is 2%. While Europe, for example, is 52%.
If we fail to change our buying habits, many more of our people will grow hungry. Africa is in desperate need of growth. The time has come to work on this growth. Our people are ready. In masses, they are starting business of all sorts. You can join these efforts by simply purchasing from them. China did it, we can do it too!
Go to our Business directory and start your journey to help Africa rise. Click on this tab to browse street traders and business you can buy from. YOU'LL ALSO FIND PRODUCTS ON THE BUY LOCAL PAGE.

This is yet again a need we frequently come across because of our work. Our visits to schools, to give talks, expose us to children with extreme needs for financial assistance.
It is the schools that come to us with these request. The requests include financial help or help to expose or refer the children to people who can help, payment of fees to the attend a matric dance or pay for fees to attend a school camp.

To help spread the word and habit of buying Africa, we have made available STOP-AND-BUY bags (and other merchandise) which are to remind you to buy local and at the same time spread the word and knowledge of buying local.
The bag symbolises the commitment to building Africa and its people. It serves as a reminder to stop and buy at street corners and pavements. They are strong and lined with foil to keep your food purchases fresh.
The merchandise also helps to keep our service to the communities of Africa going.

GIVE A GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING.
Because of our work, we always run into people who need help, and many are outside our scope of work.
We have therefore designed this form of giving to support this group of people. It is all about fun, random giving, and giving to yourself, or loved one, the one true gift: THE GIFT OF GIVING.
The gift can only be monetary as we do not have the capacity to shop around for specific gifts. We do not follow up on how donees use the money either. After all, it is a gift. We do however send you pics of the gift delivery. You can come along to deliver the gift too!

We give school talks and classes to encourage students in grades 8 through 12 to deal with financial, personal, and educational problems. Our main goal is to ignite the spirit of entrepreneurship and to create a hunger for financial awareness and independence from a young age. If you are a speaker or have knowledge that you want to share, please get in touch with us to participate in one of our programmes.

The only way out of the maze Africa is in is knowledge. The more we know, the more we will grow. Please participate in spreading knowledge and education. We have created a special page where you can write in and share information that will be useful to the community. You must be a member of Eight Red Apples to participate. You'll be able to participate under the free membership plan. Click here to register as a member and to write in.
